Hello all and thank you for accepting me into this organization. I have just recently discovered and acquired some hickory golf clubs and have found a new spark for the game of golf with these. Looking for any information and direction as I am in the midst of putting together my first set. Any information and help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hopefully be involved in future events and getting to know some of you.

Equipment Help

Hello, I just joined the group last night and am looking forward to playing. I love the tradition and history of the game. Does anyone know of a good source of hickory clubs other than the bay? Swap meets etc.. possibly in NC?

Thanks

Evan Mickle

I am overwhelmed by the response to our tragic loss. The outpouring of wishes, food, labor, contributions, etc is beyond comprehension. Thank you all.

An anvil too soon silenced. My son Evan died today. The son any parent would wish for, the husband and father too good to be true, the dedicated farrier all horses dream of, went out to work around his new farm and for no apparent reason just died.

To lose a parent is to lose touch with…

Back injury -- any advice?

While in Scotland, I hurt my back for the first time in my golfing career.  It started suddenly in the lower right back, which put me on the ground, and eventually worked it way across the rest of my lower back. Afterward, I tried to play but couldn't really turn through the ball consistently without feeling sharp pain.  I want to get the back ready for Mid-Pines. So far I have gotten a deep tissue massage, which helped, and will get some more, am taking 800 mg Motrin each, will see an…
