While in Scotland, I hurt my back for the first time in my golfing career. It started suddenly in the lower right back, which put me on the ground, and eventually worked it way across the rest of my lower back. Afterward, I tried to play but couldn't really turn through the ball consistently without feeling sharp pain. I want to get the back ready for Mid-Pines. Jay Harris once again hosted a wonderful Hickory event at Roaring Gap CC. The course is a treat to pay using hickories and the greens are terrific. Weather was perfect for the 24 players and this is something you should not miss next September. Thanks to Jay for all his efforts.
