The East TN Hickory Players and the Southern Hickory Golf Society would love to extend the invitation for you to join us May 19-21 for the inaugural Mid-South Hickory Golf Classic. This event will be held at The Course at Sewanee. Sewanee is the home of the University of the South. The course dates back to 1915 and was restored by Gil Hanse in 2013. Sad news today. Jay Harris has been admitted to a Hospice facility in Burlington, NC where he has resided for the last several years. His stroke and surgeries from the melanoma that had spread to his brain are the contributing factors. Jay was one the founders of the Carolina Hickory Golf Association. He considered himself the Pied Piper of hickory golf in the Sandhills area and brought many new players into the fold. I will keep everyone posted on this site with updates and…
