John McKee III Classic - Pinecrest Golf Club - Lumberton, NC at Pinecrest Golf Club

May 21, 2021 all day
18 holes of hickory play at this Dick Wilson classic design.  We haven't been to Pinecrest in several years, and this was a fixture on our rota 'back in the day'.  Close to I 95, I'm sure we'll get some players from SC and Fayetteville.  This was where one of the founders of the CHGA, John McKee III played his golf and reigned supreme.  We lost John a couple of years ago, and will honor his memory with this event.$27 to ride, $17 to walk.  A full country lunch will be available for $10 for…See More

Broken shaft

Might have hit 20 balls (35 and 50 compression) with my mashie and the shaft is cracking. What do I do? Buy a new shaft from Louisville golf or rob peter to pay paul? I have another mashie by another club maker. I'd have to plug the pin hole and drill a new one if that is the case. Comments?...

Hello all and thank you for accepting me into this organization. I have just recently discovered and acquired some hickory golf clubs and have found a new spark for the game of golf with these. Looking for any information and direction as I am in the midst of putting together my first set. Any information and help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hopefully be involved in future events and getting to know some of you.
